Voluntary Modern Slavery Statement
Last updated: 22 July 2025
Introduction
Marentis Labs Ltd ("Marentis Labs", "we", "us", "our") is a specialized advisory firm providing strategic risk and performance insights. We are not legally required to publish a Modern Slavery Statement under the UK's Modern Slavery Act 2015. However, we are committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in all our business practices and relationships. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in any form.
This voluntary statement outlines the steps we take to identify and mitigate the risk of modern slavery occurring within our business or our supply chains.
Our Business
Marentis Labs is a private limited company registered in England and Wales. We operate as a high-end advisory and strategic consultancy firm. Our core business activities include:
- Strategic Decision Advisory for private sector clients (FTSE 350, Private Equity).
- Institutional Strategy & Design for multilateral organisations, foundations, and governments.
As a knowledge-based business, our direct workforce consists of highly-skilled professionals. Our supply chain is limited and primarily involves procurement of professional services (e.g., legal, accounting, IT), software and data subscriptions, office supplies, and travel services. We do not engage in manufacturing or the production of raw materials.
Our Policies
Our commitment to ethical conduct is embedded in our core policies. We maintain an internal Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy that requires all employees and contractors to act with integrity, professionalism, and in compliance with all applicable laws. This includes an explicit prohibition on engaging in, facilitating, or ignoring any form of modern slavery or human trafficking.
Our supplier and contractor agreements will, where appropriate, include clauses requiring compliance with all applicable laws, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Due Diligence and Risk Assessment
Given the nature of our business, our assessment identifies our risk of direct involvement in modern slavery as very low. Our supply chain risk is also low, but we recognise that a risk exists in any supply chain.
Our due diligence efforts are concentrated on our suppliers. We are committed to working with reputable and established suppliers who share our commitment to ethical practices. For any new, significant supplier relationships, we will undertake proportionate due diligence to assess their own policies and risk management procedures concerning modern slavery.
We will not knowingly support or do business with any organisation involved in slavery or human trafficking.
Training and Awareness
We ensure that our founder and any future employees or key contractors are aware of the risks of modern slavery and our commitment to preventing it. This statement is made available to all staff and forms part of our ethical framework.
Looking Ahead
As a small but growing firm, we will continue to review and enhance our procedures as our business and supply chain evolve. We are committed to maintaining a vigilant and ethical approach to business to ensure slavery and human trafficking have no place in our operations.
Approval
This voluntary statement has been approved and adopted by the leadership of Marentis Labs Ltd.
